Job Description:
-This position is 100% based out of Hartwell, GA (no exceptions for WFH)-Overtime is not guaranteed but anticipated depending on the phase of the project-Some travel anticipated to vendor sites for FAT-Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Requires daily walking through a construction siteThe Hartwell team is looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer to support their expansion project in Hartwell. They're adding an entirely new production line to their factory. Candidates must have construction, startup, and commissioning experience in a manufacturing environment.o Maintains working knowledge of Corporate Control System Standards and Guidelines.o Applies knowledge of instrumentation, controls, and corporate standards in performing design reviews, and in reviewing and troubleshooting field installations.o Assists in the development of plant long-term controls infrastructure direction.o Researches and specifies equipment and material for capital projects and plant systems improvements.o Develops and/or manages project design, layouts and detailed drawings relative to assigned projects.o Manages project documentation such as accurate prints, manuals, personnel training, spare parts and asset information.o Develops and manages necessary project scopes, bids and contract documents for contractors and vendors.o Secures bids from contractors and vendors, selects and then manages their progress through project completion.o Knowledgeable, active in and support initiatives to improve safety, quality, and factory reliability.o Works with facility operations/maintenance to address and improve equipment or process performance problems.o Function as the expert resource for difficult control systems related problems that the maintenance staff is unable to solve.o Assists in maintenance staff training and development.o Assists in maintaining an up-to-date and complete set of electrical and controls as-built documentation.o Provides technical support and guidance in reviewing the efforts of outside control system consultants.o Interfaces with other company facilities or local businesses to discuss issues relating to past present or future projects.o Responsible for considering facility safety, environmental, sanitation, quality and other programs.o Accountable to meet company and those applicable Governmental regulations such as OSHA, EPA, etc., while performing job responsibilities.
Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required, Electrical or Controls Engineering focus is preferred, or equivalent work experience with electrical and controls.These certifications and Experience are a plus:
o International Society of Automation Certified Automation Professionalo Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)o Food & Beverage industry experienceSkills/
Experience:
o MUST be proficient in PLC programming (Rockwell).o Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.o Experience managing projects and contractors preferred.o Experience with various analog instrumentation preferred.o Experience with robotic systems preferred.o Experience with automated guided vehicles preferred.
