oSupport the development and execution of engineering and design work packages.
oExecute engineering and design of site power distribution infrastructure.
Includes development of work package Scopes of Work, and development of single-line diagrams, power distribution equipment layout drawings, duct bank detail and routing, cable tray/conduit and cable routing, grounding and bonding plans, and lightning protection system plans.
oSpecification of Switchgear, Transformers, Power Distribution Panels, Cable Tray, Cable, and other power distribution equipment and infrastructure.
oMaintain working knowledge of ways of working and engineering and design standards and guidelines.
oReview and approve Vendor proposals and approval drawings.
Verify proposals and approval drawings meet the project specifications, requirements, and the overall intent of the design.
oAct as the Owners representative for Factory Acceptance Testing of power distribution equipment.
oSupport construction quality control activities and construction closeout activities.
Provide technical support related to construction issues which may involve field verification and supporting contractor requests for information.
oProvide technical support during commissioning activities.
oSupport creation and maintenance of power distribution related technical documentation, such as construction specifications, corporate guidelines and standards.
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCESoBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experienceo5
years working on the specification, engineering and design of industrial power distribution systems (medium and low voltage).
oAbility to develop load calculations for sizing and specification of power distribution systems.
oWorking knowledge of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage power distribution equipment, and Utilities/Mechanical systems controlsoWorking knowledge of grounding and bonding.
oWorking knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electric Code), and electrical equipment installation and wiring practicesoWorking knowledge of Electrical Safety and Hazardous Energy Control Procedures (HECP)oWorking knowledge of continuous and stand-by duty power generation and Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)oAbility to use AutoCAD to view drawing files, use Microsoft Office products, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe AcrobatoAbility to travel up to 15% of the time.
