Quality Engineer

SUMMARY
Provides technical support to all areas of the plant in assessment, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Systems that meet or exceed customer and TS16949 standards.
The incumbent participates in the company's quality initiatives including, but not limited to:
TS/ISO certification and maintenance of quality systems in place. Additionally, the incumbent participates in the company's safety programs by ensuring a safe and clean working environment, timely reporting of any safety violations, timely reporting of any workplace incidents or injuries, and effective housekeeping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements quality systems to prevent failures and deficiencies in products and processes, through advanced quality planning teams and ongoing process monitoring
Some travel to customers to establish, maintain and improve customer relations
Interact with suppliers, including some travel, to assure their products meet the needs of Tenneco
Provide coordinated services to ensure timely completion of product submission
Maintain and improve the documented system to meet ISO/TS 16949 requirements
Field customer concerns and lead corrective action teams as necessary to insure that nonconforming conditions do not recur
Supervise hourly employees as assigned in their areas of responsibility
Perform job duties in line with company policies, procedures and work instructions relating to ISO 14001 and Safety requirements
Responsible for PPAP and interface with process engineering, manufacturing plant, and customer on new product/process launches
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and three years experience in the automotive industry or equivalent of combination of education and experience, CQE highly desirable or committed to attaining CQE within one year
APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plan training and practical experience preferred
Understanding of the 8D Methodology
Good project management, negotiation, and computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to communicate across various levels of the organization and effectively lead teams
Strong team player and ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team
Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt trained or willingness to work toward and accomplish certification

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
